Every holiday season there are amazing fundraisers and drives for many organizations in our great community. It is the time of giving and the time that we come together as a community to work in solidarity to create change together. However, this holiday season the Think Kindness organization is helping those that often are left forgotten. In fact, there are over 500 of them; these are the animals of Nevada Humane Society.  They are a non-profit, no kill charitable organization whose mission is to provide care to animals in need in our community and to bring people and animals together. They are diligently working towards making Washoe County a no-kill community, but they need our help to achieve their goals and to create a true safety net for the animals.  Think Kindness has a vision to create a CRITTER CHRISTMAS for Nevada Humane Society’s wish list.

The wish list of Nevada Humane Society is very reasonable and broad spectrum… It varies from kitty litter and cat food, to dog biscuits and a laptop for record keeping…. They have over 500 animals in the shelter on an average day, and they serve over 9,000 animals through the course of a year that are both taken in, cared for and adopted into good new homes.  The needs are genuine and simple.  We have over 9 locations with drop boxes and the posted wish list of the Nevada Humane Society set up all around the greater Reno-Sparks area at local businesses and schools.

Your help is greatly needed and appreciated… In order to help this amazing no-kill charitable organization, we need everyone to do their part to give the homeless animals of Washoe County an amazing Critter Christmas.
